Healthy Mind, Healthy Body
Intermittent Fasting is all over the news right now! Researchers are learning that confining your eating to a defined window of time is better for your waistline, your blood sugar and many systems of your body. It can take a little time to get used to not eating all day long, though!
Martin, Kelly and Robin are all experienced intermittent fasters. Come out and join us for a healthy dinner on Friday evening and then we will enter a 17-hour fast (most protocols suggest 16-18 hours as a good length of time for the body to fast). The good news is you’ll be asleep for about half of this time!
When we are not sleeping, we will be in silence during our fast, and we will offer plenty of contemplative activities to occupy your mind, your time and your hands while you begin a new journey toward health in mind and body.
We will break our fast together at noon, have joyful fellowship and fun in the afternoon and then dinner.
Bring your journal, headphones for music if you like. Meals are provided, and you are welcome to bring food to share (but it is not required).
Price: $60 – $90 (pay as you can)
