17th Annual Freedom of Expression

Join us for the 17th Annual Freedom of Expression retreat for people living with suicide grief.

The 16th on the grounds of The Light Center (TLC) in southern Douglas County, KS, because the COVID Pandemic prompted us to "be virtual" in 2020.

Includes time for stories of our loved ones in life, talks, walks, creativity, love, sadness, laughter, & more.

Snacks, drinks, & lunch provided. Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free and Omnivore options will be available.

Suggested Donation: $40 or more per person

Registration Form: https://bit.ly/FOE2023

Registration by end of day Friday, October 6, 2023 is especially helpful!

The roots of this retreat started with Robin Goff, founder of The Light Center, and Rose Eiesland Foster and family. Long before the 1st Freedom of Expression retreat, Rose's family made sure she participated in a retreat for cancer survivors at TLC. Although Rose survived early bouts of cancers, Gordon Foster, Rose's beloved husband, died by suicide on May 4, 2004.

In 2007 Rose asked, "Do you think we could do a retreat for suicide loss survivors?" Robin and I answered, "Yes!" And the poster for our 1st retreat, the one in November 2007, was created by a very young Georgia Foster, Gordon and Rose's daughter.

And as we say, "And the rest is not yet history...."
